Hearthside Farm Homesteading Workshop

With this event, we hope not only to encourage the spread of agricultural and homesteading knowledge, but also to share the joy of practicing the old skills with our community….

Join us for a day on the farm and beside the hearth.
Participants will learn the lost art of dairying as we milk the goats and make soap and cheese.
We will hand grind grain and make our own nutritious, rustic loaves.
A wild foods tour of the field and forest will yield not only new knowledge, but a wonderful meal as well!
In the farm kitchen we will dip 100% beeswax candles and make herbal syrups, tinctures and balms to soothe colds and other ailments.
